Our Team

Our team consists notably of volunteers from the Northern Virginia Community College's Art department and is directed by Erin Devine and Wolfgang Chadab. Our team is a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of skills and expertise. 



  • Erin Devine is an artist, curator, critic, and independent scholar based in Washington D.C. She received her PH.D. in Art History with a focus in Contemporary Art from Indiana University. Her current projects combine performance and video in works that address the patriarchy of history and religion. She is the Director of the New Gallery for Contemporary Art at NVCC and continues to write criticism regularly for Woman's Art Journal and the Washington City Paper.



  • Wolfgang Chadab started to play the piano at the age of 10 and was trained in classical music until his graduation from High School. He has lived in Virginia since 1976 and earned a B.A. in Economics from the American University in Washington, D.C. and a M.B.A. from the George Washington University and was enrolled in the M.A.-PH.D. program for Economics at Georgetown University, before his employment at the World Bank. He retired as a Senior Finance Officer in 2014. He is quadrilingual and has worked in and travelled to 41 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America.

  • Roya Chadab is a local artist who works in mixed media using mostly acrylics and pastels. After receiving  her B.A. in studio art from Smith College, she moved to Paris, France and studied French Civilization at the Sorbonne. She also received her certificate of French pastry from the Cordon Bleu in Paris at the same time. After moving back to the United States, Roya worked many years in various businesses. Roya is currently a volunteer at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.

  • Mona Khademi is an arts management consultant in Washington, D.C. since 1999 and works with organizations, artists and embassies in developing exhibitions, cultural programs, assisting with public relations as well as securing sponsorships. With an extensive knowledge of the arts, her goal has been to work with international artists, promoting understanding and building affinity between different peoples and communities through their arts and cultural programs.  Mona’s experiences range from Program Director at Washington Arts Associates to working at the Development Department of the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the Arts Department of Meridian International Center. She has also served on the boards and committees of several charities, religious and cultural organizations for the past 40 years in multiple countries. Besides her professional work, Mona is an independent researcher, has written and presented papers at national and international conferences and has published some both in Persian and English languages.  
     
    Mona received her B.A. in psychology from Pahlavi University in Tehran, Iran, M.A. in Arts Management from American University in Washington, D.C. and has worked towards a PhD degree on Organizational Psychology/Management at Imperial College of London.
